Cholesterol Living with High Cholesterol


Long-term survivors of HIV can develop high cholesterol


New medications have allowed many people infected with HIV to live long and healthful lives. But doctors have noticed that some long-term survivors develop a condition called lipodystrophy that causes changes in blood lipids, such as cholesterol, and the way fat is distributed in the body. Although the exact cause is mostly unknown many risk factors have been suggested.
