Avoiding watching TV in bed immediately after a meal can help prevent heartburn


Doctors say a good way to avoid heartburn is to let gravity do its job. By not lying down for a couple of hours after a meal, a person can reduce or eliminate the flow of stomach contents back into the esophagus. So if you want to avoid heartburn, lying down to watch TV right after a meal is not a good idea.
