You can keep your health insurance coverage after leaving your job
Many people think that once they leave a job they are no longer entitled to continue using the health insurance benefits associated with it. However, in 1986, Congress passed a law called the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) that allows many employees to continue their health coverage even after they leave their job.
